Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy of the Independent Institute of Education are focusing on the use of smart phones during tests, exams and assignments.
1. The student may use their phones during class to do research if they are completing an assignment and only if the instructions states it. Otherwise no use of smart phones or cell phones during a lesson.
2. All cell phones need to be switched off and in front of the classroom when the students are writing a test.
3. During exams no cell phones are allowed, it needs to be switched off and in the student's bag in front of the exam room.
4. Students need to ask permission to answer his/her phone during class or during an assignment.
5. Student may not use their phone during a test, exam or assignment to cheat of find the answers of the questions asked. Only if the instructions of the paper states differently.
I Meleri Janse van Vuuren understand that violation of the college acceptable use policy about smart phones may result in my not being able to participate in writing test, exams or assignments. I also understand that I may receive disciplinary consequences for violating these policies.
