Digital access and divide

Question 1.1:





1.    Digital Access: Not everyone have access to technology. Digital citizenship is there to make sure everyone has equal opportunities to access the digital world. The aspect causing issues is digital divide is makes it hard for the society to grow and expand. Digital citizens should make an effort to improve the technology states in the society.
2.    Digital Commerce: It is the buying and selling of good online. Legal exchanges are occurring, but the buyer must be aware of the dangers associated with online purchases. The buyers must learn how to be effective consumers in the digital economy without breaking the maws or morals of some countries.
3.    Digital Communication: Communicating with friends, family and businesses all over the world, it is a form of digital communication. In the 19th century communicating was limited, but in the 21st century communicating is much easier. But unfortunately not many users know how to make decisions when faced with so many digital communication options.
4.    Digital Literacy: The learning and teaching about technology and how to use technology. The learners must be taught to learn how to use technology anytime and anywhere. New technology are finding their way into the work place that are not being used in school, the user must be taught how to use these new technology that are provided to them.
5.    Digital Etiquette: The way people should behave while using the Internet is important. The users must teach those who do not behave appropriate, how to behave in an ethical manner towards the Internet. The users must follow the electronic code of conduct to be sure about our behaviour.
6.   Digital Law: It deals with the ethics of technology within the society. There are some laws the users must follow to make sure they do not abuse their privileges and harm others. It is important that everyone must take full responsibilities for their actions so that we can help each other.
7.    Digital Rights and Responsibilities: With every right there comes a responsibility, every digital citizen have basic rights regarding technology. It is important that the users do not abuse these rights because there are anonymous online. Users must understand that they must take full responsibilities for their actions if they overstepped the law and the rights. 
8.    Digital Health and Wellness: There are many issues that can be caused by using technology, like eye strain, repetitive stress syndrome etc. Being on the Internet for too long can also cause a physiological issue, like Internet addiction which can affect your health. We have to use the Internet limited to ensure that our well-being and health are maintained.
9. Digital Security: Everywhere there is a need for security. Digital security is here to prevent data theft, fraud, viruses, stealing of identities etc. It is important that we must keep our information safe from the people around us that might want to invade our personal lives.


Question 1.2:



Economic Divide: This is the gap between the poor people and the rich. Some of the countries don't have access to digital devices and that means they can't have access to information. 

Usability Divide: Some people have access to computers and other digital devices but they choose not to use it, simply because they have low literacy and they don't know how to use it. 

Empowerment divide: Most users, who have access to the Internet and they know how to use it, settle for the bare minimal search results because they don't know which keywords to use to find the correct information and this also leaves a gap between people. 


Question 1.3: 


Social Capital: This refers to the access people have to resources and the know-how of social networks. Our friends and other people can be a great source to get information and ideas from. You can enhance your social capital by meeting new people, the more connections you have the more resources you have access to. Being active on social media groups can also help you to interact with other people, where you can share ideas and visions with each other. It is important to be open with people in that way they can get to know you better and that means that you can work good together in groups. 






Question 1.4:

I have created a Linkedin account, which will help in finding a proper job. This website is a place where users can search for jobs without a struggle. Here is an example of how it looks.
