Question 2.1:

Background: My home town is Pretoria and there are a few people that struggles to find a job and who have been jobless for a few years, because they are not educated or trained, the increasing number of job seekers, global recession, lack of entrepreneurship and the slow economic growth. All of these factors are influencing the people of South Africa which is a big problem.

Define: We first need to define the problem. There are hundreds of people in South Africa without work and are struggling to find work.

Discover: This stage is when we need to do more research about the problem in order to understand the problem better. Most people in South Africa is unemployed because there are a few factors that plays a role like the slow economic growth, the lack of interest for entrepreneurship and poor education and training.

Dream: Now we can use the knowledge we have gathered to find an appropriate solution. What if the government start different projects in South Africa for these people, in that way they can build experience by doing something new and they get to learn new stuff.

Design: Visualise a solution from the future backwards to the present. 30 Years from now the amount of people who is unemployed will be a lot less then it is today, if they stop replacing the staff with machines then the people will have jobs and if they are committed to do work for some money in order to save money to go and study then this problem will be a lot less of an issue.

Deliver: The dream becomes a reality, by producing the solution and publishing it. The projects that the government provides can be small projects like repairing the roads and traffic lights or even cleaning the city. Or the people can help out at a auto repair shop, in that way they can build experience as well.

Debrief: Review and analyse the product and process and identify areas for improvement. The process can be improved by actually providing some educational ground for these people or help them see the problem if there are a lack of entrepreneurs, hopefully they will understand and then change their minds about starting a new business with new and unique ideas (Crockett 2016).

Question 2.2:

Yes it can become a problem; According to Tshepo Motsima (2017) she said that there are some people that are not enough educated to know the damage they can do by posting something online out of frustration or anger, they think if they delete it, the post will be gone but that is the thing they don't understand. Your digital footprint can cause you great harm because everything you like or post or say on the Internet can bee seen by other people, even strangers.

Question 2.3:

  • Keep your software up to date, in order to prevent a virus from stealing all your information.
  • Be sure to use strong passwords with Capital letters, numbers and symbols in it.
  • Be careful what you post online because when you posted it, it is out there no taking it back (Davidson 2016).
